Mix all the spices A together in a small bowl.
Boil the beans in salt water for about 10 minutes and drain them.
Heat the oil in a pan.
Add the asafoetida and and fry for a few seconds.
Now add spices A, fry for a few more seconds.
Add the chilli pieces and fry them for about one minute.
Add onions and fry until slightly golden.
Add the beans and stir-fry them until their colour changes, about 5-10 minutes.
Add salt to taste.
Serve hot
